NON ELECTRIC INITIATING SYSTEM


INTRODUCTION :-
 

In a conventional system of initiating the column charge by DF, a small amout of explosive around the DF is desensitised due to viloent detonation of DF as it contains very high explosive charge (generally 10 grm/m ) & does not give bottom initiation to the column charge.

To overcome this drawback, AMA Industries Pvt. Ltd. proudly introduces MECDET- a non electric initiating system.

A variety of tube length & delay timing to suit particular requirment are offered by us.

Due to its non-disruptive tube it completely elimintes the desensitisation of explosive, avoids stemming ejection of charge, gives true bottom initiation & proves economical over the conventional system.

CHARACTERISTICS :-
 
MECDET consists of a shock tube with delay detonator.

Shock tube is a plastic tube 3.0 mm outer diameter and 1.2-1.4 mm inner diameter, specially developed for the purpose to withstand 20kg load without breakage and has very high abrasion resistance.

End of the tube is hot sealed to ensure water profness and the other end is crimped to the detonator.

The velocity of detonation of tube is 2000 +/- 200 m/sec.

Delay timing of the assembly is precisely controlled and tested in house.

Due to non disruptive tube, desensitisation of explosives does not take place.

Flexiblity in delay interval & virtually any number of holes can be connected & blasted in a single shot.

Effective ''In hole '' delay system can be provided if required.

All these factors add to the economy of blasting & increased output per charge of explosives.
*Enviorment - Due to very low explosive charge in the shock tube it reduces noise and groud vibration.

 

MECDETs come with a range of dely timming & shock tube length to suit the specific customer requirment.

MECDETs are available in SURFACE & HOLE delays.

MECDET SURFACE - 17 ms, 25 ms, 42 ms, 67 ms.

MECDET HOLE - 200 ms, 250 ms, 300 ms, 350 ms, 400 ms, 450 ms, 500 ms.

Shock tube length vary from 3 mtr to 24 mtr.

MECDETs are properly identified by putting delay time & length tags on the coil.

 
PACKAGING :-

5 TO 10 coils of MECDET are packed in one paper envelop. It is properly marked with delay time,tube length. These envelopes in turn are packed in cardboard boxes marking the delay time & tube length .

 
STORAGE :-

This product must be stored in Licensed detonator magazine following all statutory & regulatory norms & taking due saftey precaution.

 
HANDLING :-

This product must be handled by qualified, authorised persons only.

Lack or insufficient knowledge may lead to misfire of product, can cause fatal injury to the person handling it.
